“Hi! I Am A Gen-Z Who Hates Gen-Z”, Here’s Why

Ever wondered how life looks without that slow Punjabi music in the background over your slow-motion video? The more you try to answer this question, the more you will get scared of the reality of this world. I am a Gen-Z individual who answered this question way back in my teenage years when I discovered that the reality of life is even worse than portrayed by others.

The criticism I often receive is about my perception of those remarks. People say that I think too negatively, and that has made me ponder this nonsense. I strongly object. Yes, I can agree that I tend to be more negative than people of my age group, but it is not an absolute that I only think negatively; perhaps it is actually negative.

As far as I've come to know about the way of life of people in my age group, I am alarmed by the rage of them spitting out their nonsensical jobs on their social media handles and showing off their dad’s gifted cars and their mom’s provided pocket money like nothing is above it. I believe that this is now their way of showing others that they are happy—with the privilege of their parents, with getting thrown out of classes for not completing their work, and with announcing that they are not worth the job of providing for their family and loved ones, which is just a basic purpose of a man’s life.

I am shocked by the apathy of these Gen-Z individuals who are ruining their lives by ignoring the reality of the world. Millions of people in our country are not even able to eat two meals a day after working day and night to earn and provide for their families. The worst part is that this fact doesn't even faze the youth or motivate them to get up and change the situation for the people of our country.

No single Gen-Z individual today knows the history of their own religion or caste. I do not believe in the existence of any god or religion as I am an atheist, but still, this bothers me. I study about the religions of others and their cultures so that I can educate others and motivate them to do something with this holy identity instead of just being a part of it.

The actual reason for my dislike of Gen-Z is this procrastination of their desire to learn and grow. Forget about men, women nowadays are not even capable of doing things their ancestors did. There were many women warriors like Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, Rani Laxmi Bai, and Begum Hazrat Mahal who fought and maintained themselves not less than any male warrior.

I have huge respect for men and women who are serving in the Indian Army and protecting us. I myself wanted to join the Indian Army, but for some personal reasons, I could not join. However, that did not affect my discipline. I was, and I am, disciplined to give meaning to my life. This approach was not easy for me to accomplish. I had to give up my comfort zone, my social life, as well as my personal life.

Now, I want every showing-off Gen-Z individual to adopt this approach. Then, our country will progress. Influencing others with my discipline is one of the first plans of mine to eliminate laziness in people. There are some people who have actually been influenced by my routine and have adapted it to improve their lifestyle. Trust me, since they adopted this routine, they have grown—maybe not much, but a little is also good for me.

If everybody decides to change their mindset and work for their welfare, then nothing is impossible for them. Maybe the process would be a little time-consuming and irritating in the beginning, but it would help them a lot to discover and be self-aware of their status.

In conclusion, I would like to add that, as a responsible youth of my country, I will work hard in every aspect of my life to make myself that perfect man. If anybody needs some motivation, I would be the man to go to because for welfare, Aryan cares, if nobody else cares. Jai Hind!
