The new multiple-board format exams from the 2024-25 session bring the concept of the second exam in one academic year if the first examination does not fetch nicely better marks. However, examinees of this year are not placed under a completely new plan as the latest elaboration.
Some think that the harsh pressure of the examinations will envelop the students even the first time as much as they will have to realise stress in the next exams. It has also been made clear that the two-exam system would not be critically compulsory. This system could help secure the students comfortably adequate marks by their plied preparations.
The system aims to reduce stress on the students who fear missing out on a single opportunity. If a candidate is prepared and is satisfied with the score in one set of exams, he/ she can choose not to appear for the next examinations. It appears relatively promising because it offers a big chance to improving the total marks by dint of a tad bit additional contemplation.
According to the Ministry of Education, the Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the first exams in the latest format from 2025, except for the one instance in 2021 when the exam was split into two due to COVID-19. The new system of twice-a-year board exams for Class X and XII will not be compulsory,
