Opposition parties are wanting to buckle the trend passing the bucks on electronic voting machine every time they loose an election appearing as a standard practice for all their failed attempts to convince the electorate in their favour. However, when the same set of machines deliver verdict in their favour than things look way different from what otherwise with a lot of time being consummated on the misappropriation and misuse of electronic voting machines by the ruling dispensation for their benefit and advantage. I understand that every election in the country is different and fought on a varying range of issues from ward to panchayat, assembly to loksabha still if someone has any kind of apprehension about the exercise of whole process than the onus to clear and clarify the doubts solely lies with the election commission. Recent years have seen its deep politicisation with chief election commissioner merely discharging his ceremonial obligations than the constitutional duties which is his prerogative. It's not electronic voting machines are two hundred percent safe but are prone to rigging and manipulation through various means and measures which should be thoroughly scrutinized especially around when these machines are brought in use. Uproar on it has become a routine affair as ECI is unduly overstretching this matter which should have been resolved much earlier had it not been deeply politicised. Election commission shouldn't become a mouthpiece for any regime destroying it's autonomy and liberty at the first instance.
