Under this agreement, Congress will stand to contest elections on 17 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh. While, the Samajwadi Party and other allies will be in the fray on the remaining important 63 seats in the most populated state. Also, under this seat sharing plan, Khajuraho parliamentary seat in Madhya Pradesh has been shifted to the Samajwadi Party.
